Our Commitment

Abode Marketing is committed to making abodemarketingagency.com and the digital experiences we produce accessible to people of all abilities, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnifiers, or voice recognition software.

We believe accessibility is a core component of quality work, not an afterthought.

Conformance Target

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the standard most U.S. courts use when evaluating website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What We’ve Done

  • Alt text is provided on all meaningful images
  • Headings follow a logical hierarchy to support screen reader navigation
  • Forms include programmatic labels for assistive technology
  • Color combinations are tested for adequate contrast against WCAG AA thresholds
  • The site is navigable using keyboard alone
  • We conduct periodic accessibility reviews as part of our site maintenance

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is a continuous effort. We periodically audit our website, address issues we find, and work toward full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Where we use third-party platforms or embeds (forms, scheduling tools, video players), we choose vendors that demonstrate a commitment to accessibility, but we cannot guarantee third-party tools meet every accessibility standard.

Known Limitations

This site is a work in progress. We are actively addressing the following areas:

  • Some legacy blog posts published before 2025 may not have alt text on every image — we are updating these as we revise content
  • Embedded third-party widgets may have their own accessibility limitations outside our direct control

Tell Us if You Hit a Barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, please tell us so we can fix it.

Email: kayce@abodetheagency.com Phone: (337) 270-5011 Mailing address: Youngsville, Louisiana 70592

Please include:

  • The web page where you experienced the barrier
  • A description of the issue
  • The assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
  • Your contact information for follow-up

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five (5) business days.

Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division (ada.gov).

Compatible Technology

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver screen readers
  • Modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — latest two major versions)
  • Operating system zoom and high-contrast modes

A Note on Accessibility Overlays

We do not use accessibility overlay widgets (sometimes called “accessibility shields” or one-click compliance tools). These products do not provide meaningful accessibility for users with disabilities and have been criticized by disability advocacy organizations. Instead, we work to fix accessibility issues at the source.
