Nobody hands their retirement savings to someone they found five minutes ago. Advisors in Acadiana mostly grow through referrals, community ties, and long relationships. Marketing doesn’t change that. What it can do is make sure that when a referral looks you up, they find an advisor who is clearly qualified, easy to understand, and worth a first meeting. Everything we build for advisors goes through your compliance review before it goes live.

Who you’re really trying to reach
Many advisors here serve people who have spent decades in the oil patch, the medical field, or a family business. The questions those clients search tend to show up around a life event:
Career transitions
“What to do with my 401(k) when I retire,” “rollover options after leaving my job,” and “retirement planning Lafayette.” Someone wrapping up a long oilfield career often has a retirement plan decision to make and wants to talk with someone local.
Local intent searches
“Financial advisor near me,” “fee-only advisor Lafayette,” and “retirement planner Lafayette LA.” These depend on your Google Business Profile and a site that explains how you work and how you’re paid.
Business owner questions
Succession planning, selling a company, and benefit plans for employees. These people often reach you through their CPA or attorney first.
We build content around the questions your best clients actually asked before they hired you, which also makes it more likely AI tools pick up your answers. Our AI search optimization work covers that side.
The rules that shape every post, page, and ad
Advisor marketing has more guardrails than almost any other industry we work in. We write with them in mind from the first draft, and your compliance department has the final say.
SEC Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1)
For registered investment advisers, ads can’t include untrue or misleading statements, factual claims need a reasonable basis you can document, and benefits must be balanced with risks. Testimonials and endorsements are allowed, but they need clear and prominent disclosures, including whether the person is a client, whether they were compensated, and any material conflicts. Performance has strict presentation rules, including net returns alongside gross and standard one-, five-, and ten-year periods.
FINRA Rule 2210
For broker-dealer reps, retail communications generally need approval by a qualified registered principal before use. Content must be fair and balanced, and promissory or exaggerated claims are prohibited. Testimonials carry their own disclosure requirements.
Your firm’s own policies
Many broker-dealers and RIAs have rules stricter than the regulations, such as approved-content libraries or limits on which social platforms you can use. We work inside those.
In practice, that means we never write “best advisor in Lafayette,” never project returns, and never post anything your compliance team hasn’t approved. We build in review time and keep a clean record of what was approved and when.
Channels that work for advisors, and how we handle each one
Educational posts on retirement timing, Social Security decisions, and planning basics keep you visible to professionals and pre-retirees. Posts go through your firm’s approval process first.
Google Business Profile
Accurate categories, hours, and office details help with “financial advisor near me” searches. How your firm handles client reviews is a compliance question under the Marketing Rule, so we settle that with your compliance team before turning on any review requests.
Educational content and seminars
Articles, guides, and event pages that answer real questions, written in plain language without pushing products.
Meta ads
Ads for financial products and services fall under Meta’s Special Ad Category, which means you can’t narrow by age, gender, or ZIP code, location targeting has to cover at least a 15-mile radius, and lookalike audiences aren’t available. We plan creative and budgets around those limits through our Facebook ads management in Lafayette.
Many advisors get introductions from local CPAs and insurance agents. If you partner closely with either, see our pages on CPA firm marketing and insurance agency marketing in Lafayette.
How we work with advisors and compliance teams
Discovery
We learn your registration type, your firm’s marketing policy, and your approval workflow before we write anything.
Content on a schedule
Drafts delivered early enough for review, revised to compliance notes, and published only after approval.
Monthly reporting
Plain English on visibility, inquiries, and meetings booked.
This is patient work. Trust-driven marketing compounds over months, and nobody controls Google. We also take one advisor practice per area under our one-client-per-niche approach.
Areas we serve
We work with advisors across Lafayette, Youngsville, Broussard, New Iberia, and the rest of Acadiana. See the full list on our areas we serve page.

Financial advisor marketing: frequently asked questions
Can financial advisors use client testimonials?
Under the SEC Marketing Rule, registered investment advisers can use testimonials and endorsements if they meet the disclosure and oversight conditions, and FINRA Rule 2210 has its own testimonial requirements for broker-dealer reps. Your firm’s policy may be stricter, so we confirm with compliance before using any.
Does everything need compliance approval before it’s published?
For most advisors, yes. Broker-dealer reps generally need principal approval on retail communications, and most RIAs review all marketing under their policies. We build that review time into the content calendar.
Can we run Facebook and Instagram ads for a financial practice?
Yes, but they fall under Meta’s Special Ad Category for financial products and services, which limits targeting by age, gender, and ZIP code and blocks lookalike audiences. We plan campaigns around those limits.
Is LinkedIn worth the time for advisors?
It’s often one of the better channels for reaching professionals, business owners, and referral partners. Short educational posts tend to do better than product talk, and they’re easier to get approved.
How much does marketing for a financial advisor cost?
It depends on your market, your goals, and the channels involved. We quote after the free audit, once we understand your practice and compliance process.
